The fifth edition of the Shanghai Shopping Festival started with a vibrant array of online and offline events.

Digital Life Festival

The 2024 Shanghai Double Product Online Shopping Festival and Digital Life Festival kicked off at the Bund Finance Center, covering more than 80 consumption promotion activities in four sectors: digital products, digital services, green consumption, and digital business districts.

From April 27 to May 4, the Shanghai E-Purchasing Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Multi-Channel Network institutions, hosts the "Bund New Product Festival" offline market at the Bund Finance Center, gathering over 100 new products from 75 brands.

The brands simultaneously conduct flash sales and product drops on the online stores at the Taobao and Tmall Group and JD, while influencers on Xiaohongshu engage in store visits and check-in activities.

The Nanjing Road Walkway sends merchant information, discounts and gifts to offline consumers through its digital platform. During the event, nearly 50,000 coupons, totaling over 10 million yuan in value, are given away online and offline.

Leyou Baoshan

In Baoshan district, the fifth Shanghai Shopping Festival was launched to stimulate traditional consumption, foster service consumption, cultivate new consumption trends, promote green consumption, and boost the interactions between business, culture, sports and tourism.

The first "Leyou Baoshan" port concert aims to turn cruise traffic into a boost for consumption, combining with other festivals and events to drive cultural and tourism spending and enhance the reputation of Baoshan's cruise industry.

CIIE galleries

The Greenland Group launched the "Embrace good products and enjoy a colorful life" activity, gathering products and businesses from 65 countries, hosting more than 30 consumption promotion activities, and offering more than 5,000 types of discounts.

The urban reception hall of the China International Import Expo, situated on the Nanjing Road, features the exhibition and sale of Silk Road merchandises, featuring 25 themed country galleries. During the Shanghai Shopping Festival, it will host events, such as the Shanghai Silk Road E-Commerce Festival and the Diamond and Jewelry Culture Festival, to create engaging spots for consumers to explore.

Coffee Culture Festival in Qingpu district

As an important hub of the Yangtze River Delta Integration Demonstration Zone, Qingpu district pools premium resources from the region, inviting consumers to enjoy a diverse range of experiences covering shopping, gastronomy, culture, sports, and tourism. The initiative aims to create a fashionable, diverse, and youthful city image, and promote the integration of agriculture, commerce, culture and tourism consumption.

During the Coffee Culture Festival, Qingpu will unite popular coffee brands with regional attractions to create immersive coffee culture and tourism settings infused with Jiangnan heritage and Chinese-style fashion trends.
