One of the notable features of Shanghai Disney Resort is its many "firsts". For instance, Zootopia, a themed land at Shanghai Disney Resort officially opened on Dec 20, 2023, was the eighth themed land inside Shanghai Disneyland and the world's first Zootopia-themed land.

The main attraction of the park is Zootopia: Hot Pursuit where guests can become rookie police officers and rescue Gazelle alongside Officers Judy and Nick Wilde.

Shanghai Disney Resort is also home to Mickey Avenue, the first main entrance road at any Disney resort that is themed around Mickey Mouse and his friends.

Another highlight is the Enchanted Storybook Castle, the tallest and largest castle at any Disney resort and the first to feature all the Disney princesses. Treasure Cove is also a first, as it is the first pirate-themed area within a Disney resort.

The park also boasts the Gardens of Imagination, the first area designed as a garden, and features a Fantasia-inspired carousel, the first of its kind at a Disney resort.

Whether it's taking a spin on the Fantasia Carousel, diving deep underwater to encounter mermaids and a Kraken in Pirates of the Caribbean Battle for the Sunken Treasure, or riding atop two-wheeled light cycles in Tomorrowland, there's something for everyone.

To make the most of your visit, it is recommended to arrive early and plan your day strategically. The park offers a Fastpass system that allows you to reduce waiting times for selected attractions. Downloading the official Shanghai Disney Resort App can provide helpful information and an offline map of the park.

Additionally, you can avoid large crowds by visiting on weekdays and avoiding peak times such as weekends and holidays.
