After three consecutive years of organizing and navigating Suzhou Creek – the mother river of Shanghai, the Head of Shanghai River Regatta has not only vividly depicted the city's soft power and embodied its expression of "touching the hearts of the people" but has also upheld the inheritance of the city's cultural lineage.
Through the sport of rowing, it has showcased the city's charm and industrious spirit of its participants.
Due to the overwhelming number of teams applying for the club category, in 2024 Shanghai Rowing will, for the first time, introduce a qualifier event at Dianshan Lake, providing an opportunity for the top teams to advance to the showdown to be held on Sept 28-29 at the Qingpu district section of Suzhou Creek.
