The International Film & TV Market — the first public-facing initiative jointly launched by the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival and the 30th Shanghai TV Festival — will open on June 21 at the Shanghai Exhibition Center.

A film and culture themed mart will debut at the market with a variety of interactive attractions, including an immersive sky mirror experience from Pokemon, themed fan events for the Chinese animation I Am What I Am, along with exclusive merchandise booths featuring collectibles from popular entertainment properties.

This year's market seeks to combine the strengths of past film and television markets, offering an integrated platform covering production, distribution, procurement, and more. Attendees will benefit from tailored matchmaking services and an array of industry forums.

To stay at the forefront of industry trends, the market introduces new thematic areas, which showcase cutting-edge technologies such as ultra-high-definition imaging, virtual production, VR filmmaking, AI-assisted creation, and automated filming solutions.

The market will also debut an international zone, bringing together more than 50 overseas exhibitors engaged in content creation, rights trading, and distribution. A newly launched international business matching area enhances one-on-one networking opportunities, fostering deeper cooperation between Chinese and international audiovisual industries.
