Reservations are now open for October tickets for Shanghai Museum's high-profile exhibition, On Top of the Pyramid: The Civilization of Ancient Egypt.

You can reserve a ticket through the official WeChat mini program of Shanghai Museum. An additional 1,000 early-bird tickets are available each day starting Sept 1 on a first-come, first-served basis.

The museum has also extended the opening hours for its evening tours to 9 pm (last entry at 7 pm) on Fridays in September and throughout the National Day holiday (Oct 1 to 7). An additional 3,000 slots are available for each nighttime exhibition.

During the nighttime tours, visitors can take in the exhibition On Top of the Pyramid: The Civilization of Ancient Egypt on the first floor of the Shanghai Museum on People's Square, and The Glory of Ancient Persia: Treasures from Iran as well as the immersive show, Horizon of Khufu, on the second floor.
