Photo exhibition explores relationship between city and people

The 2024 Shanghai International Photography Festival and the 17th Shanghai International Photography Art Exhibition opened on Nov 8 at the Shanghai Fashion Center.

Themed "The City We Live In", the exhibition focuses on families, community, living spaces, and working environments for urban dwellers, exploring the relationship between the city and its people.

Organizers explained that the exhibition aims to capture the diverse life experiences and emotions of the city's residents, and to showcase the mobility and richness of Shanghai as a city.

The main venue is at the Shanghai Fashion Center. It runs until Nov 23 and features more than 1,300 photographs by artists from around the world.

This year's exhibition also includes additional venues in districts such as Huangpu, Putuo, Pudong, Hongkou, Songjiang, and Jing'an.

Venue: Shanghai Fashion Center

Location: No 2866 Yangshupu Road, Yangpu district

Open from Nov 8 to Nov 23; Monday to Friday: 11 am to 5 pm; Saturday & Sunday: 10 am to 5 pm.

Transport: Visitors can access the venue by car, parking at Building 7, or by taking Metro Line 12 to Aiguo Road Station and walking approximately 15 minutes.
