As the vibrant hues of spring sweep across the cityscape, Shanghai's historic old buildings have undergone a metamorphosis into captivating venues for major exhibitions, offering a glimpse into the rich tapestry of cultural heritage and artistic expression. The Great Aegean Civilization Exhibition at the Hellas House

The Hellas House stands as a testament to architectural elegance, originally crafted in 1936 by an Italian designer. Revitalized in 2013 by the visionary behind the 2010 Shanghai Expo's Greek Pavilion, the three-level villa now serves as the backdrop for The Great Aegean Civilization Exhibition. Showcasing artifacts from ancient Aegean civilizations like the Cyclades, Minoan, and Mycenaean, this exhibition marks the first time Hellas House has opened its doors fully to the public.

Stepping into the storied Drummond Residence, once the abode of a 1920s lawyer and later the office of the Bright Food Group, visitors are transported into a bygone era of Shanghai's industrial evolution. This permanent exhibition celebrates the city's time-honored brands, including illustrious names like Bright Food, White Rabbit for dairies, and Warrior for sneakers, emblematic of the city's industrial prowess in the 20th century.

The Twin Villas, an architectural gem dating back to 1921 and lauded with the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation in 2009, beckons visitors to explore the exquisite world of jewelry design. The Designing Jewels exhibition offers a mesmerizing journey through designers' scripts and jewelry works spanning from the 1760s to the 19th century, with a spotlight on Art Deco style pieces inspired by oriental art.
