Musee d'Orsay brings masterpieces to Shanghai in exclusive exhibition

In 2025, the Museum of Art Pudong in Shanghai will collaborate with the Musee d'Orsay in Paris to present an exclusive exhibition featuring over 100 authentic works from the Musee d'Orsay's collection, focusing mainly on its most iconic Impressionist and Post-Impressionist pieces.
The exhibition will showcase masterpieces from the 1840s to the early 20th century, including works by renowned artists such as Van Gogh, Monet, Gauguin, and Renoir. It is expected to come to the Museum of Art Pudong in June.
Last year marked the 60th anniversary of China-France diplomatic relations, with the profound implications resonating throughout the art industry.

The first major exhibition in 21 years to feature the artworks of Sanyu, one of the most prominent Chinese painters of the 20th century, is currently being hosted in Nice, France. Running until June 15, it presents 113 ink drawings, etchings, and oil paintings, most of them never before seen, and includes a dialogue with works by Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, and Leonard Tsuguharu Foujita.
Sanyu's creations are deeply rooted in traditional Chinese culture, blending calligraphic lines, Chinese bird-and-flower paintings, and Western still-life elements, displaying both European and Chinese influences in his works.
