Liu Haisu (1896-1994) pioneered both the fine arts movement and modern art education in China. He was recognized as a scholar who fully dedicated himself to art, education, and innovation. In old age, he donated all his valuable artworks and collections of paintings and calligraphy works from various Chinese dynasties to the government.

At the exhibition, visitors can admire Li's precious donations, including Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) treasures like Tang Yin's Three Friends of Winter and Dong Qichang's Landscapes (Album), alongside some of Liu's works, such as The Shixin Peak of Huangshan Mountain and The Rough Lotus.

The exhibition also features works by foreign talent and emerging artists, spanning traditional ink, modern oil, realism, and abstraction, highlighting art's diversity and inclusiveness.

In a pioneering effort, the museum is making use of innovative digital art displays at the exhibition. A nearly 50-square-meter 8K ultra-high-definition screen in the foyer employs AI-generated content to present Liu's floral works.

The exhibition is free to the public and runs until May 28.
