The Shanghai Natural History Museum will extend its hours for the China's Dinosaur World exhibition during the final week of the summer vacation. From Aug 26 to 29, the museum will stay open until 7 pm, and until 8 pm on Aug 30.

A diverse array of events awaits visitors during this final week. Attendees can participate in lectures delivered by renowned science experts, engage in scientific experiments, enjoy live music performances, and explore a market dedicated to intangible cultural heritage.

On Aug 29, the museum will host a special dinosaur night in celebration of Qixi Festival, or Chinese Valentine's Day. Additionally, three dinosaur-themed 4D films will be screened each night.

The exhibition features 118 significant dinosaur specimens and models from 12 research institutes and museums across China. Notable exhibits include Lufengosaurus huenei, China's first complete dinosaur fossil, and Baby Louie, the largest dinosaur embryo fossil discovered, which is making its Shanghai debut.

Since opening on May 31, the exhibition has aroused great interest from both dinosaur enthusiasts and experts nationwide. Attendance has grown from an initial 1,000-2,000 daily visitors to nearly 7,000, with total visitors exceeding 150,000.
