The exhibition examines how information spreads, mutates, and endures. Rather than focusing on individual works, it highlights how artists navigate the balance between consensus and variation. The show presents an open, fluid, intimate "lounge", evoking a dialogue between art furniture and modernist classics. Each piece on display, from the improvisational experiments with materials by Gaetano Pesce to the tension-driven forms by Ron Arad, acts as a spatial language reflecting the spirit of the times, extending beyond mere functionality.

In his Carefree Wandering, Taoist philosopher Zhuangzi described a mammoth bird, Peng, that can fly thousands of miles and a colossal fish, Kun, that can swim tens of thousands of miles. These mythical creatures, beyond ordinary imagination or comprehension, exist in a state of complete freedom. The eight artists in this exhibition are like Peng and Kun, exploring the essence of life and art freely in their own imaginary world.

  • Address: Suite 703, No 33 Middle Sichuan Road, near East Yan'an Road
  • Opening hours: 10:30 am – 6 pm, Wednesday to Sunday
  • Free admission
