Natural Wonders Ecological Art Exhibition brings nature into the city
The Natural Wonders Ecological Art Exhibition began on Oct 10 at the Fang Cun Shan Contemporary Art Center in Shanghai's Putuo district. Featuring works by 15 artists, it examines the interconnectedness of humanity, community, and nature through engaging artistic experiences.
Structured around four themed sections, it reconstructs ancient life, revives urban materials, reimagines tactile encounters and recreates poetic city fields.
In the evolution of species section, large installations by Ma Jin and Liu Peiling reshape the courtyard, sparking reflection on species change and ecology.
The fabric wonderland section encourages recycling of materials. Cao Cao and Li Wenli spearhead a community initiative that turns discarded textiles into interactive artworks.
The field inquiry section builds a wheat field landscape, blending installations, poetry and 3D printing.
The exhibition reflects UBOX Taomanli creative art community's co-creation vision, turning art spaces into platforms for urban ecological engagement. It runs through Nov 11, open Wednesday to Sunday by reservation.
