The WorldSkills Museum has launched a new exhibition, Artificial Intelligence: A Skill That Unlocks a New World. Divided into five thematic sections, the exhibition guides visitors through the evolution of AI, from its early origins to today's cutting-edge applications, with interactive displays featuring robots, generative AI, and smart devices.

Highlights include:

  • Milestone breakthroughs in AI history, such as Deep Blue, the first computer to defeat a world chess champion, and AlphaGo, which beat a human Go world champion.
  • Archival footage of early AI achievements, including the first chatbot ELIZA and the first humanoid robot, WABOT-1.
  • A multimedia world map showcasing AI industry layouts, strengths, and trends across countries and regions.
  • China’s role as an AI innovator, highlighted by exhibits such as UBTECH Robotics' educational robot AlphaEbot
  • A cyberpunk-style art installation where visitors record their voice via an iPad to generate real-time visual effects on a curtain of LED beads.
  • Hands-on interactions, including playing Chinese chess or gobang with a robot, trying real-time AI painting, testing smart translation pens, and experiencing simulated smart driving and medical applications.
