Buccellati brings century of Italian gold art to Shanghai
Italian high jewelry brand Buccellati will present The Prince of Goldsmiths at the Shanghai Exhibition Center on Dec 7, 2025, inviting visitors into a world shaped by its artistic mastery and century-old heritage of craftsmanship.
Founded in 1919, Buccellati is renowned for its sophisticated goldsmithing techniques and exceptional creations. The celebrated Italian poet and literary master Gabriele d'Annunzio once hailed Mario Buccellati, the founder of the Maison, as "The Prince of Goldsmiths", recognizing his rare ability to transform precious metals into timeless works of art.
Following its highly successful debut in Venice in 2024, the exhibition now travels to vibrant Shanghai, carrying forward its original vision while opening a new chapter. It offers a more profound look into the Buccellati family legacy, the brand's artistic tradition, and its century of craftsmanship, while presenting an expanded selection of collections and iconic works.
Blending classical architectural elements such as colonnades, symmetry, and harmonic proportions with multimedia storytelling, the exhibition traces the origins of Buccellati's designs and highlights craftsmanship refined across four generations, reimagining heritage through a contemporary perspective.
