Portuguese Film Festival brings cinematic masterpieces to Shanghai Caoyang Cinema
Shanghai Caoyang Cinema will host the Portuguese Film Festival on Jan 2, when two classic Portuguese films will be screened.
Scheduled for 1 pm in the 4K Laser Hall 1, Historic Center is priced at 70 yuan ($9.90). A collaboration between four master directors, the film explores Guimaraes, a cultural hub in northern Portugal, offering four unique perspectives on the city through their distinct lenses.
The other film, Our Beloved Month of August, directed by Miguel Gomes, paints a portrait of life in a Portuguese town as August arrives, reflecting the realities of racial integration amid the unstoppable trend of globalization. Gomes, who has directed five films over the past decade, won Best Film at the Oberhausen International Short Film Festival. It will be screened at 3:30 pm in the 4K Laser Hall 1. The ticket is priced at 80 yuan.
Tickets are now available on apps including Taopiaopiao and Maoyan and can also be purchased at the second-floor merchandise section of Caoyang Cinema.
The Portuguese Film Festival series products are also available to the audience, featuring the Azulejo tile style and vibrant Mediterranean landscapes. They include two ticket holders, six fridge magnets, and two canvas bags. Additional items such as posters, knitted embroidery hangings, scarves, and silk hair ties are also available.
