Transportation guide for Auto Shanghai 2025

The 21st Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition will take place from April 23 to May 2 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).

To ensure a smooth experience, visitors are advised to take public transportation during the event, as traffic around the venue is expected to be heavy and parking spaces are limited.

 

Public transport

Direct access to the venue:

Metro: Take Line 2 or Line 17 to the National Exhibition and Convention Center Station

Bus routes: No 197, No 706, No 710, No 773, No 865, No 1503, No 1511, No 1512, Qingpu No 20, Qingpu No 25, Xujing No 2, Xujing No 4, Xujing No 5

Buses with metro transfers:

Bus No 706: Transfer to Metro Line 9 at Jiuting Station

Bus No 865: Transfer to Metro Line 10 at Shanghai Zoo Station

 Free shuttle service

From April 23 to May 1 (3:30 pm ‒ 7:30 pm) and May 2 (1 pm ‒ 5 pm), free shuttle buses will operate from designated pick-up points at the South and North Plazas to nearby transportation hubs.

Route 1: South Plaza → Metro Line 9 to Zhongchun Road Station

Route 2: South Plaza → Metro Lines 2 and 10 to Hongqiao Terminal 2 Station

Route 3: North Plaza → Bus No 71 to Shenkun Road Bus Terminal

Route 4: North Plaza → Metro Lines 2 and 10 to Hongqiao Terminal 2 Station

Ride-hailing services

Temporary pick-up and drop-off points for ride-hailing services are set up at parking lots P15 and P8.

Driving

Visitors arriving by car can park in designated parking areas near the venue. The east entrance of the exhibition center is recommended for faster access, as it typically sees lighter foot traffic.

Visitors are encouraged to park in the Hongqiao International Central Business District, then walk approximately 15 minutes to the east entrance via the second-floor pedestrian bridge near Gate 5 of Longfor Hongqiao Paradise Walk (Building A).
