Chinese chipmaker SemiDrive launched its latest chip X10 series for artificial intelligence-powered auto cockpits at the ongoing 2025 Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, setting a new industry benchmark for intelligent vehicle processors in the era of ubiquitous AI.

Cheng Taiyi, CEO of SemiDrive, said "Successful chip design demands both scenario-driven insight and technological foresight. Through joint innovation with automakers and deep ecosystem collaboration, we position SemiDrive at the epicenter of evolving industry demands — where silicon meets real-world mobility challenges."

According to the company, breaking away from traditional "function executor" designs, the X10 Series re-imagines cockpit processors as scenario creators, featuring hybrid AI architecture that integrates small models (rapid response), medium models (multimodal interaction), and cloud-based large models (complex task handling).

At the auto show, SemiDrive is also expected to announce more innovation in partnership with companies such as Bosch.

With over 8 million chips deployed across more than 100 auto vehicle models, SemiDrive said it has reinforced its "dual-chip" dominance in smart cockpits and vehicle control.

SemiDrive's partner network now exceeds 200 companies, spanning operating system developers, algorithm providers, and tier-1 auto suppliers.
