"It's like living in the future," said a participant during an EV tour organized by Shanghai-based American influencer and car reviewer Ethan Robertson, known online as "WheelBro".

Recently, Robertson led more than a dozen international fans from Australia, the US, and other countries on a three-day test drive of Chinese electric vehicles. The group set off from Shanghai's Songjiang district to explore the Yangtze River Delta, experiencing China's automotive innovations firsthand.

They also attended the Shanghai Auto Show to witness the global debuts of new models — most of them from Chinese brands.

"Covering Chinese cars gives people outside China a window into the country's car market," said Robertson.
