Shanghai Baoshan District Library is located at No 600 Haijiang Road, adjacent to the Yangtze River. The library has a total floor area of 11,000 square meters and houses a collection of 1.03 million books/items, including nearly 740,000 open-access books and 550TB of digital resources. Readers can access these digital resources anytime and anywhere for free using VPN technology. The library can accommodate approximately 6,000 visitors per day and hosts around 300 reading events annually.

The library places a strong emphasis on promoting children's literature and features the "Chen Bochui Memorial Hall" within its premises. Centered around the "Chen Bochui International Children's Literature Award", the library has successfully developed several programs, including recitals and readings of award-winning books, and writing competitions.

The library also offers online book borrowing with home delivery via express service.
