In 2023, the Shanghai Songjiang District Library underwent a comprehensive upgrade and relocated to its new site at the Yunjian Hall Culture and Art Center, located at No 26 South Renmin Road.

The main building, designed in a modern Chinese style, resembles an open book when viewed from above.

The library houses a collection of 900,000 books and offers over 1,100 reading seats. It features various reading spaces, including a children's area, public reading areas, thematic literature areas, and newspaper and periodicals reading areas. The library is also equipped with several smart devices, including self-service borrowing machines and intelligent bookshelves.
