The Shanghai Fengxian District Library was designed by the renowned Chinese architect Xing Tonghe. Officially unveiled in June 2008, it is one of the earliest high-quality cultural spaces in the district.

The library serves as a hub for resident education, literature research, local literature collection, book promotion activities, academic lectures, and art exhibitions.

In 2018, the library began establishing branches in neighborhoods and towns, as well as cultural centers in villages and urban reading points. This initiative created a reading network encompassing a total of 437 locations, covering both urban and rural areas.

Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday: 9 am to 8 pm, Closed on Mondays
