Zhidao Academy in Qingpu district opened its doors on Feb 12.

Covering 4,000 square meters, the academy provides a variety of spaces dedicated to reading, cultural collections, and refreshments. It boasts a collection of nearly 1,000 volumes on traditional Chinese culture, arts, history, and more.

Occupying a historical building that once housed Qingxi Academy, established in 1800, Zhidao Academy embodies traditional Chinese design, adopting a simple yet elegant style. The name zhidao signifies the pursuit to understand the fundamental principles of the world, aiming to cultivate an aesthetic environment.
