The project office of the national major science and technology project on new-generation artificial intelligence has released the application guidelines for the first batch of 2025 projects.

According to the notice, applicants must submit their proposals online through the National Science and Technology Information System Public Service Platform.

All supporting materials should be uploaded as scanned copies, and the online submission will serve as the official basis for subsequent review and evaluation.

Eligible principal investigators may include foreign scientists and scientists from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan who are employed by institutions on the Chinese mainland. Full-time appointees must provide valid proof of full-time employment, while part-time researchers should submit supporting documentation from both employing entities.

The Shanghai Municipal Commission of Science and Technology will accept online applications from 10 am on Nov 7, 2025 to 4 pm on Nov 30, 2025.
