Shanghai Jing'an District People's Court White Paper on Foreign-Related and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan-Related Civil and Commercial Trials
As one of Shanghai’s most open districts, Jing’an has ranked first among the city’s central urban districts in foreign-related economic scale for 10 consecutive years. The district is home to more than 6,100 foreign-invested enterprises and 148 regional headquarters of multinational corporations, and has become a preferred place of residence for many expatriates in Shanghai.
As Jing’an continues to deepen its level of opening-up, the number of foreign-related civil and commercial cases has steadily increased, and the demand for dispute resolution has become increasingly diverse, placing ever higher demands on foreign-related judicial work.
Particular emphasis has been placed in Jing’an on the timely summarization of adjudicative experience in foreign-related cases, the accelerated development of a professional foreign-related trial system, and the enhancement of judicial service capabilities and safeguards for foreign-related matters.
