More than 30,000 individual buyers and purchasing agents from Shanghai have registered for the 7th China International Import Expo or CIIE – scheduled to take place in the city on Nov 5-10.

That represents a 20 percent increase compared with last year, according to the event organizers who were giving details about the upcoming show during a promotion on Sept 5 to mark the 60-day countdown to the annual expo.

A quality life festival was launched on the same day at the Hongqiao Import Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center, where imported products – mainly exhibits from the previous CIIE were showcased, attracting potential buyers.

As a year-round center for exhibition and trade, the Hongqiao Import Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center has upgraded the functionality of its bonded warehouse and exhibition center to create a lively platform for the debuts of industrial products.
