GE Aerospace returns for 9th consecutive CIIE
GE Aerospace, a global leader in aviation propulsion, services, and integrated systems, is returning to the China International Import Expo in Shanghai for the ninth time.
The company has about 50,000 civil aircraft engines in service worldwide. Through its joint venture, CFM International, it serves more than 60 airline customers across the Chinese markets, with 8,700 engines in service and 5,000 more on order. GE Aerospace has established its regional headquarters for China in Shanghai's Putuo district.
At the previous CIIE, GE Aerospace displayed a 1:2-scale LEAP-1C engine model and a "Touchable LEAP Engine" mixed-reality exhibit. Both are back this year.
Debuting at this year's CIIE is the Borescope Inspection Analyzer (BIA), an AI-assisted system developed by GE's China team over eight years. Using a borescope camera to inspect engine interiors, it applies AI-based image analysis to flag subtle anomalies that are hard to detect with the naked eye, improving inspection efficiency and accuracy.
GE will also unveil its open maintenance network across the Chinese markets — comprising 10 cooperative and authorized MRO facilities, two engine parts distribution warehouses, and an on-site support and quick-repair facility in Shanghai — that covers every GE Aerospace and CFM International engine model in service across China.
GE says it will sign cooperation agreements with customers at the expo and continue engaging with domestic and international aviation players to support China's aviation industry.
GE Aerospace is at Booth 3B3-01 in Hall 3.
