Ahead of the ninth China International Import Expo (CIIE), the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) has completed a major upgrade to its communications network.

The venue now has Wi-Fi 7 coverage throughout its premises, supporting nearly 100,000 users at once. The upgraded network offers faster speeds and lower latency, allowing exhibitors and visitors to stay connected as they move around the venue.

How to connect to free Wi-Fi

Visitors can connect to the NECC-FREE Wi-Fi network using either of the following methods:

Option 1: SMS verification

Connect to the Wi-Fi network, enter your mobile phone number on the login page, and complete verification using the code sent by SMS. No app download or additional registration is required.

Option 2: CIIE app or WeChat mini program

Connect to the Wi-Fi network, open the official CIIE app or WeChat mini program, tap the Wi-Fi icon on the home screen, and link your CIIE badge to complete authentication. This method does not require a mobile phone number.
