Themed city walk routes to discover Shanghai (IV)

To showcase Shanghai's rich history and vibrant culture, the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism has launched distinct city walk routes on May 19.

The routes are divided into five categories, namely the "Local Life Tourist Routes", the "Film & Television Travel Routes", the "Shopping Travel Routes", the "Culture & Sports Travel Routes", and the "Exhibition & Expo Travel Routes", with a total of 30 specific routes unveiled. Below is the "Culture & Sports Travel Routes".

A multitude of international and domestic competitions have been held in sports arenas and urban meeting rooms across Shanghai over recent years. Sports such as F1, tennis, snooker, horse racing, and track and field.

1. Marathon route

Bund Bull Square→Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street→Shanghai Exhibition Center→Jing'an Temple→Huaihai Road→The Memorial of the First National Congress of the CPC·Xintiandi→Huangpu Riverside→Xuhui Riverside→Longhua Temple→Xujiahui Sports Park

Founded in 1996, the Shanghai Marathon is now one of the world's most influential international marathons, attracting top runners from all over China and the world. The event route covers distinctive scenic spots across the city, including the Bund, the Memorial of the Site of the First National Congress of the CPC, and Huaihai Middle Road, showcasing the rich cultural charm and vibrant sports spirit of the city.
