Themed city walk routes to discover Shanghai (V)

To showcase Shanghai's rich history and vibrant culture, the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism has launched distinct city walk routes on May 19.
The routes are divided into five categories, namely the "Local Life Tourist Routes", the "Film & Television Travel Routes", the "Shopping Travel Routes", the "Culture & Sports Travel Routes", and the "Exhibition & Expo Travel Routes", with a total of 30 specific routes unveiled. Below is the "Exhibition & Expo Travel Routes".

Shanghai has many locations that allow people to explore the market, as well as current trends, such as the National Exhibition and Convention Center and the Shanghai World Expo Museum. In the Shanghai Urban History and Development Museum and Guangfulin Cultural Relics Park, people can trace the origin of Shanghai and perceive the brilliance of China. In the China Art Museum Shanghai and the Museum of Art Pudong, people can view Chinese and Western masterpieces while also savoring Shanghai-style innovation. These routes weave through exhibitions and museums, allowing participants to immerse themselves in Shanghai's past, present, and future.
1. Art in the Bund

The Bund has become a gathering place for trendy locals and tourists, as it features several art museums and performance spaces. The ongoing exhibition at Shanghai Jiushi Art Museum, titled "Mountain Water Wandering" delves into the inheritance of contemporary art, as well as the transformation of the traditional Chinese philosophy of "mountains and water". From paintings with charcoal, water ink, and acrylic, to video, photography, and performance art, these artworks continued the motif in ancient Chinese literati art that depicted landscapes to express their spiritual pursuit for the sublime and pure. The Rockbund Art Museum is currently presenting a series of research and art projects under the theme of Complex Geography. This includes exhibitions, public projects, and publications.
