Shanghai unveils first batch of cultural heritage tours
Shanghai unveiled its inaugural batch of cultural heritage-themed tour routes on June 7, showcasing the city's rich historical and cultural treasures.

The Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism unveiled the tour routes at the Qingpu District Museum, which was the main venue for the city's 2024 Cultural and Natural Heritage Day celebrations.
These routes highlight Shanghai's heritage, including architectural landmarks and intangible cultural experiences, allowing residents and visitors to explore the city's origins.
The routes are:
1. Unearthing the Roots
With a history spanning 6,000 years, Shanghai has transformed into a modern international metropolis through the confluence of cultures.
Route: Shanghai Songze Ruins Museum → Qingpu Museum → Zhujiajiao Ancient Town → Fuquan Mountain Site → Qinglongzhen Site
2. Spring's Charm
Ideal for spring and summer, this tour winds through classical gardens that are lush with greenery and perfect for strolling.
Route: Jiading Confucius Temple → Guyi Garden → Zuibaichi Park → Fangta Garden
3. The City's Origin
Explore Shanghai's urban origins, savoring its past while decoding its developmental stories. Wander through the old city quarters to unearth the local allure.
