1. Jiading Museum - a comprehensive cultural hub

Established in 1959, the Jiading Museum serves as a comprehensive institution dedicated to the collection, preservation, research, display, and popularization of cultural artifacts. It oversees two significant cultural relics: the Jiading Confucius Temple, a national key cultural relic protection site, and the Fahua Pagoda, a municipal-level protected site. The museum's design harmoniously blends traditional garden aesthetics with modern architecture, creating a scenic landmark in Jiading.

2. Han Tianheng Art Museum - an oasis of artistic treasures

The Han Tianheng Art Museum was opened in October 2013, named after Han Tianheng, the renowned calligrapher, painter and stone engraver. Han donated over 1,136 artistic pieces, including calligraphy works, paintings, seals, and cultural artifacts. Spanning 14,000 square meters, the museum features four permanent exhibition halls and two temporary exhibition spaces, offering visitors a comprehensive view of China's artistic heritage.

3. Xiyun Tower - a haven for modern lifestyle

The Xiyun Tower is a vibrant cultural and commercial street that embodies the essence of modern life. This 520-meter-long lane is adorned with Shikumen houses (traditional stone warehouses in Shanghai), overpasses, and central gardens, exuding distinctive Shanghai elements. The outdoor riverside area, fountains, lighting, and ancient bridges create a picturesque scene.

4. Nanxiang Old Street - a timeless historic gem

Nanxiang Old Street is nestled in the heart of Nanxiang town, showcasing the classic beauty of a Jiangnan water town with its small bridges, white walls, and black tiles. It comprises three main streets—Renmin Street, Gonghe Street, and Jiefang Street—and boasts historical sites like the Yunxiang Temple, the Twin Pagodas, and the Tanyuan Garden. This street is also the setting of intriguing tales, such as White Crane Flying Over Nanxiang and the Dragon's Lair.

5. My Jiading Study - a tranquil reading retreat

My Jiading Study, located within Nanxiang Old Street, is adjacent to Tanyuan Garden, the former residence of Li Liufang, a poet, painter, and one of the  "Four Gentlemen of Jiading" from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The building, with a total area of about 900 square meters, is styled after Ming and Qing architecture. Within its walls lies a public library, also named My Jiading Study, which features a layout reflecting cultural characteristics of the Yangtze River Delta. With over 5,100 books, it provides a serene reading space amidst the bustling city.
