Explore birthplace of the most classic Ne Zha
This Spring Festival, Ne Zha: Demon Child Conquers the Sea, also known as Ne Zha 2, became a sensation, redefining the Chinese mythical character of Ne Zha. It has reshaped the beloved character in Nezha Conquers the Dragon King, a film that epitomized Chinese animation 46 years ago.

Nezha Conquers the Dragon King, the first Chinese animated film to be showcased at the Cannes Film Festival, was produced at the Shanghai Animation Film Studio at No 618 Wanhangdu Road.
Established in April 1957, the studio emerged from the animation division of the former Shanghai Film Studio. Numerous beloved childhood classics were created here. The site is currently being transformed into an animation art community, featuring an animation art museum, a screening hall, a store with popular franchises, and art exhibitions.

In addition to the studio, Wanhangdu Road, which is over a century old, boasts many notable historical buildings. It's an ideal spot for a walk and to enjoy scenic views of Suzhou Creek.
