People's Park

People's Park boasts over 200 white magnolia trees, forming the largest white magnolia landscape in downtown Shanghai.

The snow-white magnolia flowers atop the trees are pure and fragrant. When the spring breeze blows, the swaying magnolias resemble wind chimes, attracting many citizens to capture photos and share them.

Guyi Garden

In Guyi Garden, elegant white magnolias have quietly bloomed, welcoming the arrival of spring.

The white magnolias in Guyi Garden are mainly planted in clusters or individually, hidden among pavilions and towers, exuding a unique charm. The Moon-viewing Pavilion in the Youhuang Yanyue scenic area is the best spot to view them all.

Shanghai Botanical Garden

A white magnolia tree on the west side of the main building at Shanghai Botanical Garden has recently come into bloom, with magnolias on its branches displaying their cup-shaped petals. This tree, known as the star white magnolia and the first to bloom in the garden for several years, is a hybrid with genes from the spring magnolia.

Due to a recent sharp rise in temperatures, the first batch of white magnolias in the garden have  reached peak blooming period ahead of schedule. A slight drop in temperature in the coming days may temporarily slow down the blooming process of the white magnolias. It is anticipated that this year's peak blooming period for white magnolias will be around mid-March.

Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden

The blooming magnolias in the parking lot at Gate 1 of Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden, signal the arrival of spring. Throughout March and April, nearly 90 species of magnolia plants in the Chenshan Magnolia Garden will respond to the dawn of spring by blooming in succession.

The magnolias are already bursting with life.

Zuibaichi Park

In the Baocheng Building courtyard and the east side of the Diaohua Hall in Zuibaichi Park, rows of magnolias are presenting a spectacular display, capturing the spirit of spring in Jiangnan-style gardens into a striking image.

In the early morning dew, the magnolias seem like white doves perched on the branches, their wings trembling lightly and releasing a fragrant scent all around.

Minhang Cultural Park

Minhang Cultural Park is the largest and most abundant magnolia park in Shanghai, with 1,200 magnolia trees including white, yellow, purple, and red magnolias scattered in various spots such as the music square and the Baihua Garden.

As the weather gradually warms up, several magnolia flowers have bloomed on the east side of the south gate of Minhang Cultural Park, presenting a stunning view.
