Longhua Quay, situated in Shanghai's Xuhui Riverside area, officially began operations on May 19, marking the first southern extension of the Huangpu River sightseeing cruise.

Passengers on the new cruise route will enjoy views that blend urban landmarks with natural scenery along Shanghai's evolving riverfront. Starting from Longhua Quay, the cruise passes iconic sites including Lupu Bridge, West Bund, and Expo Cultural Park, and turns around at the M2 Tourist Terminal.

Industrial heritage revitalized

Formerly part of a century-old cement factory, Longhua Quay has undergone comprehensive revitalization. While preserving elements of its historic industrial architecture, the quay now includes two berths capable of accommodating vessels of up to 2,000 metric tons, along with a modern three-story passenger terminal offering upgraded services and amenities.

Themed cruises add depth

The new cruise route introduces the concept of "micro urban vacations", featuring themed voyages centered around pets, music, food, and fitness. Equipped with AI-powered voice guide systems, each cruise provides insightful commentary on the cultural and historical significance of landmarks, enhancing the educational value of the tour.
