The Qingpu district of Shanghai is set to host Chinese shadow puppetry performances, an ancient genre of storytelling and entertainment that enjoys widespread popularity in China, to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year of the Dragon.

Behind a white curtain, skilled artists will manipulate characters while narrating tales set to popular local melodies.
