As Children's Day fast approaches, Shanghai's Huangpu district has unveiled a plethora of captivating performances tailored specifically for the young audience.

 

The Nine-Colored Deer

The Shanghai-style multimedia shadow play The Nine-Colored Deer is adapted from Dunhuang murals from Northwest China's Gansu province. It is set to bring ancient Chinese culture to life through diverse stage forms.

Celebrate Children's Day at the Shanghai Children's Art Theatre with the Asian premiere of Play, a modern dance co-produced with Spain's Aracaladanza contemporary dance company. This dance will speak to the inner child in all of us, so get ready to experience joy, dynamic movements, games, and surprises.

The show offers two versions: the Children's Edition and the Teen Edition.

The Children's Edition is hosted by magicians Zhou Fang and Cai Zhenjie. It promises endless fun and imagination for kids aged 3 and above.

The Teen Edition, led by magicians Zhang Hong and Zhou Fang, is set to showcase more intricate illusions and tricks for children aged 7 and above.
