Spring Now Jazz Series

Jazz melodies gently vibrate along the riverside, creating the soundtrack of spring! Experience a unique musical journey on the west bank with six performances over six days from April 30 to May 5.
Featuring T-SQUARE, Li Quan & JZ All Stars, Chinese singer Jude's special, Lightspeed Band, Woody Allen, and a Tchaikovsky Music Special, the artists are set to offer up a springtime jazz party for the ages.

Stan Lai's play I Take Your Hand in Mine

Chinese actress Eva Huang and Chinese stage actor Zhao Xiaosu star in I Take Your Hand in Mine, a play based on the correspondence between Anton Chekhov and Olga Knipper, exploring their love and Chekhov's final years, which was translated by director Stan Lai in 2014.
This spring, join us at the theater to experience a unique literary love story accompanied by the melodious sounds of violin and guitar. The play presents Chekhov and his wife Olga's passionate love and dedication to theater art through their correspondence.

Symphonic concert Chasing Light at the 40th Shanghai Spring International Music Festival

On April 5, under the baton of music director Huang Yi, the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra will perform at the 40th Shanghai Spring International Music Festival in collaboration with the Shanghai Opera House Chorus.
The program includes the symphony Chasing Light, inspired by The Internationale and composed by composer Gong Tianpeng.
