The renowned West End musical production of Singin' in the Rain will make its Shanghai debut in 2026, with tickets now on sale.

Directed by Jonathan Church, this adaptation of the 1952 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer classic has delighted audiences worldwide since its 2012 premiere. Frequently voted as the most beloved film musical, it has earned four Laurence Olivier Awards nominations and widespread critical acclaim.

Set in 1920s Hollywood during the shift from silent films to talkies, the musical tells the enchanting love story of actor Don Lockwood and chorus girl Kathy Selden.

Audiences can look forward to a faithful recreation of the film's cherished songs, including Good Morning, Moses Supposes, and the iconic Singin' in the Rain.

A standout feature of the production is its unique rain scene, created with a 6,000-liter recycled water system that lets performers dance joyously in a shower of cascading water. Front-row audiences will have the chance to experience this rain-soaked celebration up close.
