Theatre Young will revive its popular screening program in January, presenting four internationally acclaimed stage recordings. The curated screening brings celebrated theatre from around the world to the screen, offering audiences the chance to experience landmark productions as they were performed on stage.

01. Inter Alia

Opening with a two-second sellout for its China premiere, this new production reunites the creative team behind Prima Facie: playwright Suzie Miller and director Justin Martin. Starring celebrated British actress Rosamund Pike, the play delves into the complex tensions faced by women as they navigate the demands of motherhood alongside career ambition.

02. Le Tartuffe ou L'Hypocrite

Marking the 400th anniversary of the birth of legendary French playwright Moliere, director Ivo van Hove teams up once again with the esteemed theater company Comedie-Francaise. This bold adaptation of Moliere's classic comedy offers a sharp contemporary critique of family dynamics and blind faith.

03. King Lear

Golden Mask Award-winning director Yury Butusov joins forces with Moscow's Satirikon Theatre and Russian performer Konstantin Raikin for a powerful staging of William Shakespeare's King Lear. The production, which ends with Lear's futile attempt to reclaim his daughters' lives, adds a layer of absurdity to the timeless drama of power and family.

04. The Audience

Oscar-winning actress Helen Mirren, who portrayed Elizabeth II in the 2006 film The Queen, returns to the role on the West End stage. The play dramatizes the British monarch's private weekly meetings with 12 prime ministers over six decades, revealing the woman behind the enduring symbol of the Crown.
