The internationally acclaimed London West End vocal group The Barricade Boys will perform in China for the first time this June, with four shows at the AIA Grand Theatre in North Bund. Shanghai marks the only stop of their China tour.
The quartet comprises Scott Garnham, Simon Schofield, Craig Mather, and George Tebbutt, each of whom has appeared in the legendary musical Les Miserables, whether in the West End production, international tours, the 25th-anniversary concert, or the film adaptation. Together, they will bring the unmistakable vocal power and theatrical presence of the West End to Chinese audiences.
For their debut performances in China, the group will present a rich repertoire featuring beloved numbers from Les Miserables, such as I Dreamed a Dream, Look Down, Empty Chairs at Empty Tables, Bring Him Home, Stars, and One Day More.
Beyond the classics, they will also perform iconic songs from world-famous musicals, including Wicked, Mamma Mia!, Jersey Boys, and West Side Story, alongside a British rock medley featuring anthems by The Beatles and Queen.
Known for their distinctive four-part harmonies, the group brings fresh energy and depth to every performance. The AIA Grand Theatre has prepared its stage, sound, and visual production to top international standards, aiming to deliver a West End experience that feels as authentic as if audiences were in London.
