Dans la mesure de l'impossible (Beyond All Impossibilities) is set to be performed in Shanghai from April 30 to May 2. Created and directed by Tiago Rodrigues, a prominent figure in European theater, the play premiered at the Comedie de Geneve in 2022 and has since received widespread acclaim.

The piece draws on in-depth conversations between the creative team and international aid workers, giving voice to those engaged in humanitarian work in challenging environments. Performed by four actors accompanied by live musicians, the play weaves together intimate stories that raise profound questions about the moral and emotional challenges of humanitarian action.

Rodrigues adopts a minimalist stage design, placing language at the center of the performance. The dialogue flows across three languages — French, English, and Portuguese. Rather than a conventional documentary play, the work brings real-life experiences to the stage, inviting audiences to reflect on the world around them.
