The Art Ripples 2026 performance season kicked off along the Jing'an section of Suzhou Creek in Shanghai on Oct 30, 2026, offering residents and visitors around 20 performances and interactive art experiences.

Running alongside major citywide art events, the ceremony connects 11 landmark commercial hubs and art institutions along the creek.

The opening event at Life Hub @ Daning Plaza starred Chilean visual theater La Llave Maestra's work Pareidolia. The show transformed everyday items, including clothing and plastic sheets, into imaginative scenes of erupting volcanoes and birds.

The program also featured an interactive magic show on Oct 31 as part of Shanghai International Magic Week, with top-tier magicians performing interactive routines with the audience.

On Nov 8, CITIC Square will host a German marionette show, Extraordinary Voyage, which uses a vintage suitcase to stage a series of handcrafted puppet performances.

Other upcoming highlights include flamenco dance performances on Nov 8 and 14, and outdoor folk music performances by the band Nomads on Nov 14 and 15.

Visitors can pick up a complimentary, limited-edition tri-fold stamp booklet at art installations near Bai Space Guang'er Warehouse and Suhewan MixC World.

Those who collect four or more stamps can redeem a limited-edition Art Ripples eco-bag at PAC, which also features exclusive art merchandise.

Participating commercial landmarks across the Jing'an section of Suzhou Creek are offering special dining and shopping discounts throughout the event.
