Tickets are now on sale for the Russian rock opera The Last Trial, which will make its Chinese mainland tour debut at Shanghai Culture Square on Jan 16 and 17, 2027.

Early-bird discounts are available through Nov 28, 2026.

The production, which premiered in 2024, is the musical's sixth stage version and is described as its most complete to date. The creative team has reworked the narrative framework and added clear onstage narration to make the story easier to follow, while the cast brings emotional depth to the characters.

The story follows a dark mage searching for the gateway to the abyss and a priestess of light who sets out to save him, and explores themes of power, love, and betrayal.

The cast features leading Russian musical performers, including Yaroslav Bayarunas.
