First Overseas Investment Conference to be held in Shanghai

The China Council for International Investment Promotion will host the first Overseas Investment Conference from March 25 to 28 in the Shanghai Eastern Hub International Business Cooperation Zone. The event aims to strengthen global investment services and promote mutual prosperity.
Held under the theme "Better Services for Shared Prosperity in Global Investment", the conference will gather a wide array of participants, including representatives from the United Nations, international organizations, investment agencies, chambers of commerce, Fortune Global 500 companies, and professional service providers in law, finance, and taxation.
The conference will feature a series of activities, such as thematic forums, parallel seminars, business matchmaking, brand exhibitions, and delegation visits. These events are designed to help international enterprises understand global trends, navigate industrial policies, mitigate investment risks, and identify high-quality cooperation opportunities.
Key highlights will include:
Investment trend analysis: Senior officials, experts, and scholars will conduct in-depth analyses of new trends in economic globalization and discuss opportunities and challenges in global industrial and supply chain cooperation.
Policy and planning interpretation: The conference will interpret China's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30), focusing on enterprises’ "going global" and improving overseas services. A series of research outcomes, including the official overseas investment development report, will be released.
Investment intent negotiation: The event will facilitate information exchange and project cooperation among Chinese and foreign enterprises through business matchmaking activities targeting markets such as the BRICS countries and Europe.
Compliance and risk prevention: Special seminars will offer policy suggestions and professional advice on international compliance and risk prevention for overseas investments.
