Shanghai Summer attracts global tourists
Shanghai is buzzing as the first Shanghai Summer International Consumption Season runs from July 6 to mid-October. Foreign tourists are particularly captivated by the event.
Darya Bahdanovich, an international student at Donghua University, has fallen in love with walking around the city during her year-long stay. She enjoys the relaxed atmosphere of the streets and alleys, sipping specially made summer tea drinks, and discovering unexpected sights like escaped crayfish from fresh seafood markets.

Scott Howes and Chloe Churchill, photographers from New Zealand, arrived in Shanghai on July 6, eager to explore the city. They have immersed themselves in the local culture, starting their days with a traditional breakfast of soy milk and fried dough sticks, and capturing the unique blend of old and new architecture in the Hengshan Road-Fuxing Road Historical and Cultural Block.

In anticipation of more international visitors, Shanghai has introduced several new initiatives. At the end of June, a 24/7 service station opened in Terminal 2 of Shanghai Pudong International Airport, providing a range of services including tourist maps, WiFi device rental, SIM card sales, transport card sales, and currency exchange.
