The eagerly anticipated events of Shanghai Summer International Consumption Season are getting into full swing in Shanghai.

The global partners are already in high gear for the global shopping season – China Mobile, China Telecom, China Eastern Airlines, Bailian Group, Jin Jiang International Group, Trip.com Group, Marriott International and Cathay Pacific Airways.

They've each launched exclusive special services and measures – offering discounts and other appealing incentives for domestic and international tourists to explore the city.

China Mobile

China Eastern Airlines

China Eastern Airlines offers international and regional transportation services, 100,000 promotional tickets and various value-added products. Passengers can apply and purchase the offers through the "Shanghai Summer" section of the China Eastern Airlines' official channels.

Bailian Group

Bailian Group – the country's largest commercial retail group with hypermarkets, supermarkets, department stores and other outlets – has launched the "Bailian Voyage". Under the initiative it's issuing 1 million Bailian gift cards worth 10 million yuan ($1.37 million), with 1 billion yuan worth of Bailian shopping coupons overlaid. Bailian has also set up "overseas friendly shopping" sections in its retail stores and more than 100 themed mall shows, together creating what it calls an "international friendly shopping mall". Jin Jiang International Group

Jin Jiang International Group will utilize its hotel, travel and international network to introduce more than 20 "hotel plus" metropolis mini-vacation products – covering 40,000 room nights in more than 300 of its hotels. Trip.com Group will launch an exclusive promotion page for Shanghai Summer on Trip.com, providing a one-stop booking service for air tickets, hotels and travel products. At Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Trip will offer a free half-day tour to international passengers passing through the city, helping passengers to have a better experience of Shanghai. In addition, Trip will post a promotional tweet about "Shanghai Summer" on major overseas social media platforms to actively market the development of inbound tourism.

Marriott International

For Shanghai Summer, more than 40 hotels under 16 distinctive brands of Marriott International have launched the "Culture Wonders Await" campaign. Cathay Pacific Airways operates 58 flights a week between Hong Kong and Shanghai.
