Dirk Salz: Dimensions of Light and Color

Renowned for his resin-based minimalism, German artist Dirk Salz brings his first solo exhibition in Asia to Shanghai. Drawing inspiration from Mark Rothko, Donald Judd and James Turrell, Salz's work explores the interplay of light, transparency and space.

Using epoxy resin, he creates reflective surfaces that shift dynamically with light and the viewer's perspective. The exhibition features large-scale pieces, including the 2-meter-long DSA/M 1173# 2875, which plays with depth illusion and the monochrome DSA/M 1214# 2915, where gradients transition seamlessly from dark to light.

Through his mastery of materials, light and perception, Salz invites visitors to experience the ethereal essence of color and space.
