New experiences unveiled at Shanghai Summer promo conference

The global promotion conference of the highly anticipated 2025 Shanghai Summer International Consumption Season took place on April 18 in Xuhui district.
Attendees included key officials from the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism, as well as the Shanghai Administration of Sports, the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and the Information Office of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government.
Also attending were representatives of the People's Bank of China Shanghai Head Office, the Xuhui district government and various district business departments — along with partners of the Shanghai Summer initiative.
According to the conference, the Shanghai Summer season — set to begin in early July 2025 and run through to the second weekend of October — will feature a raft of exciting events and activities.
These include an opening carnival, a series of key events, exclusive city-themed products, great new shopping hotspots and fresh summer experiences that are designed to captivate both visitors and locals alike.
The conference saw several big announcements, including the release of the overseas promotional video Pass Through Shanghai Summer, which introduces the highlights of this year's offerings.
Additionally, the first group of 240-hour themed products was unveiled, focusing on "cross-industry collaboration" — incorporating shopping, tourism, cultural and sports experiences into special city-limited services and curated products.
Another major highlight was the signing of the first batch of Shanghai Summer partners for the Shanghai Pass series, designed to boost the travel and shopping experience of global visitors.
In line with the event's tech-forward spirit, "Easy Go" — a one-stop integrated inbound service application that aims to meet the high-frequency needs of inbound travelers — was also previewed. It provides quick and easy access to exclusive content and offers throughout the season with just a single tap.

The platform integrates key information on such popular things as dining, travel, culture and tourism and shopping. It will in a timely way release various discount and promotional activities for the Shanghai Summer International Consumption Season and public service information on inbound tourism.
The conference's agenda also included the announcement of several exciting city-wide, customized activities for the summer season — each one offering something very special for all types of visitors. These include:
Shanghai Disney Resort Summer Themed Experience (June to August)

Lego World Play Day (June 11 to July 25)

Pop Mart Summer of Trendy Toys

Yuyuan Garden Malls' Summer Garden Music Concerts (August to September)

Shanghai Symphony Orchestra's Summer Concerts: Music in the Summer Air
