Nanjing Road introduces art-inspired tourist map in 6 languages
To enhance the experience of international visitors and create a more tourist-friendly shopping environment, Nanjing Road has launched a new hand-drawn map titled "Hello! Nanjing Road".
Available in six languages: Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, French, and Thai, the map helps tourists from around the world navigate Nanjing Road with greater ease. By removing language barriers, it directs visitors to hidden attractions and offers a more accessible and enjoyable urban experience.
Designed in a distinctive pop-art style, the map vividly presents the modern appeal and historical charm of Nanjing Road. Beyond its practical use, it also serves as a collectible piece of street art, adding both visual interest and cultural value to the experience.
The map covers key aspects of the Nanjing Road experience. It provides a clear overview of the street's century-long history, highlights time-honored brands, popular local delicacies, and recommended souvenir shops. It also features major shopping malls, well-known landmarks along the pedestrian street, and trendy destinations such as the Pop Mart global flagship store, which appeals especially to younger consumers.
For visitors seeking to explore further, the map includes metro-accessible sightseeing routes to nearby attractions, such as Lujiazui and Yuyuan Garden.
