Zhangyuan welcomes international brands under innovative bonded model
A promotional event for the Zhangyuan Dedicated Bonded Warehouse was held at the Jing'an Grand Hall on Nov 6, marking another milestone in Shanghai's efforts to foster innovation in its debut and bonded economies.
Jointly developed by Shanghai Customs and Jing'an district, the Zhangyuan Dedicated Bonded Warehouse and its bonded display and trading functions were established last year. It is Shanghai's first dedicated bonded warehouse located in a protected heritage building within the city's commercial core. The project fills a gap in downtown Shanghai's bonded facilities and serves as a model for smart customs supervision and innovation.
At the event, United Arab Emirates brand Sindan and luxury jewelry brand V Muse announced partnerships with the Zhangyuan Dedicated Bonded Warehouse. Through Zhangyuan's "bonded+" integrated innovation model, the brands will gain access to global markets, while consumers can enjoy the convenience of instant pickup in the bonded display and trading area.
The following day, four international jewelry brands, Utopia from Milan, Capolavoro from Munich, Mattioli from Turin, and Russo Cammei from Naples, made their debut at the Jing'an Grand Hall through the Zhangyuan Dedicated Bonded Warehouse platform. Among them, Utopia and Capolavoro entered the Chinese market for the first time.
Drawing on Zhangyuan's experience with 'first stores, first launches, first shows, and first exhibitions", the new facility introduces an innovative "first launch + bonded" model. It aims to help domestic and international enterprises leverage bonded resources to connect more efficiently with global markets.
After the 8th CIIE, held from Nov 5 to 10, the products showcased by these four brands will remain on display at the Zhangyuan Dedicated Bonded Warehouse. This extended exhibition helps ensure a sustained and institutionalized spillover effect from the CIIE.
